Is it inappropriate at work to say the following: (details inside)?

Sorry you're having such a bad time there.I can't imagine what I would have done over the murder incident.Probably commited another one, only it would have been against a human and I'm sure they have laws there that prohibit that. One thing that I have learned the hard way is never ever try to make decisions when I'm angry and/or upset. And NEVER try to talk about it with the other party involved. That being said, you will at some point need to express what you think and felt about their actions. You can NOT keep it all inside and think it's going to go away at some point.I'm sure the culture there is very different than here in the states, but they need to understand that also.If they feel that it was acceptable to do that then how would they feel if they were here and had to witness something that was acceptable here but not to them? I'm sure that as of right now you couldn't write a summary that would be in any way positive.I'm also sure that as long as you've been there that there are a lot of positives.I know you've touched students lives and had students you'll never forget(even the ones you think you want to)!Your integration there has had to have been good at some points.Go back to the earthquake, you got to see a lot of the good in people at what was probably the worst time in their life.Heck, I've even thought about trying to learn enough Portugese just to drop you a line and say "go get some Red Velvet"LOL! What happened was horrible and I'm sure there has been others as well. The trick is to look at the negative and find the positive. You're a teacher, you know every - has to have a +.Not sure what the weather is there but if it's nice,go put on your favorite teeny, weeny bikini, kick back on the beach, and have a drink. I'll be on for awhile if you need to chat.Probably on FB.
